I was debating between
I Got Rhythm
and
Just You Wait
I've done Just You Wait for auditions before and I think I'll go with that because it just has more character to put forward- and she's supposed to sound bad! haha
Oh...cool
Who are you trying out for?
and any suggestions for me?
Idk ...
Elsa or whatever would be really fun but I don't think I have the singing talent, so...a kid would be fun too. Louisa maybe.
Basically I just say go for what they'll give you! haha
YES!
PARTY! PARTY! PARTY!!!!
i have no life!!!!!
entertain me!!!
party!!!!
Ug, did you see how many people were at that meeting? There must be thirty girls auditioning! I'm so nervous...I hope I get a decent part. I have no idea what song I'm doing...I don't really know any other Rogers and Hammerstein musicals. Thomas, which songs from those musicals did you have in mind? I think "This is the Moment," from J/H might be good for you, since it's in a pretty high range, and you can put a lot of emotion into it. Kenz, I think you'd be fine with either one of those songs...I would lean towards "I got rhythm" in your case. Do you guys have any suggestions for me?
As an afterthought, I think another good audition song for you might be "Corner of the Sky," Thomas. It's from Pippin, in case you haven't heard of it.
If is possible add the CresceNet(www.provedorcrescenet.com) in your blogroll, I thank. Good bye friend.
Thomas, just because I have no singing or acting talent does not make me anti-thespian!! I fully support you guys and gals, but I have absolutely no interest in putting people through the extremely painful experience of hearing me sing.
UC1, don't tell me I'm wrong. I sing with you because you keep me in one key. Let's not even start on my inability to harmonize.
Anyway, I'm sure you guys will all be amazing! I don't really know too many songs from musicals, but these are the first songs that come to me when I think of you guys auditioning:
Thomas: "You've Got to Be Carefully Taught" from South Pacific (another Rogers and Hammerstein)
Kenz: "Just You Wait" sounds like it'd be amazing for you.
UC1: That one song from My Fair Lady, the one that's Eliza telling what's-his-face-the-guy-who-was-Pygmalion-in-the-greek-myth that they could all muddle through without him. Yeah. That one.
Kelsey: "On My Own" from Les Miserables... I don't know why, I just think it could work. But maybe I'm totally off.
Don't know if those help, but there they are anyway!
Thomas, I wouldn't recommend Corner of the Sky- like it's beautiful and you'd do great, but...well I don't think Pippin is the best audition for this. haha
and katie you'll do amazing!!!
Thanks those are really good sugggestions...
Mo-Im not sure im gonna go with that one, Because from what iv listend to its really low and i could sing it...just not what im looking for. Oh and i know i was only joking! Im sure you have an amazing voice and you do support us alot so i thank you
UC1- Corrners of the sky is a really good song but...Tom is singing it for this auditon (which is dumb because he really wants to be Pippin in 10th grade) and idk just not my liking...And Katie you can sing any song and it will be amaazing so dont worry to much about it!
Kenz- Thats a good way to think of it! But as for me i really want Ralph...and Fredrick...But David most likely is gonna get ralph :(
Kelsey- PARTY lol wow i love how thats all you can say...WHAT ARE YOU SINGING!!!????
And All in all i think im gonna go with one of these...
-SInging in the rain- from singingin the rain
or
-a song from the music man
or Swenny TODD!! wooooo whhhooo
OHHH and guess i just found out that Holly is auditioning :) :) :) :)
IM SOO HAPPY SHE IS
WOW JUST THINK IF I WAS RALPH AND SHE WAS LISSEL :]
Yippie ok well wow that was long
singing in the rain is from...singing in the rain???? *GASP!*
Which Music Man/Sweeny Todd songs did you have in mind?
Kenz, i don't think I'd do just you wait. Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't that from My Fair Lady, pre-civilized phase? Sound of Music is the Epitome of civilized theatre. You don't want to go in sounding like a cockney street urchin when you could actually sound quite lovely. And i don't care what you say, you DO have a chance because your voice IS lovely.
Oh dear. It seems thomas is adopting AJ's habit of NEGLECTING HIS BLOG!
Update sweet cakes.
Thomas, time to update...
